Registration and Information Brochure

12th Richmond Registration Information:

It's that time again folks! Be prepared for the 2013-2014 year and register today!

Registration Fees for Sept 2013 to Aug 2014: $225.00 per youth

Scouting is Great Value!
For less than $5 per week, youth can be a part of Scouts Canada. We deliver an exciting program that includes camping trips, tours, service projects and weekly activities.
Should parents still consider scouting a good value?

Dollar for dollar, Scouts Canada’s programs continue to be the best deal around. For example, many parents pay as much or more for programs that only function for three or four months. Our programs generally run for eight months or more and include many adventures such as camping trips that kids will remember forever. Most importantly, Scouting makes a difference in the lives of children, youth and young adults. Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers are more likely to demonstrate greater self-confidence and optimism about what the future holds. They express a strong sense of civic responsibility and have a desire to “pay back” the community. They become more physically fit, energetic, outgoing, conscientious and compassionate. We think helping today’s young people become tomorrow’s leaders is worth far more than $5 per week.

The 12th Richmond Scout Group is continually …Livin' the Dream!

I encourage you to find out more about the vast learning opportunities that the Scout program provides for today’s youth and the leadership skills that our young members develop.

The mission of Scouts Canada is to contribute to the education of young people, and we aim to fulfill this mission by instilling in our members values such as preparedness, service, and respect. The fun activities in which our youth participate – rock climbing, canoeing, hiking, and camping, among others – truly provide an enjoyable environment to interact with peers and be fully immersed in a stimulating learning community.

Furthermore, our extensive training program for leaders means that those with an interest in helping youth find the opportunity to learn from knowledgeable Scouters, whether or not these new leaders have any prior experience.

Message from Peter Ng,
Former Council Commissioner, Pacific Coast Council, Scouts Canada
